Are companies missing the mark? Support the Liberty Mutual career fair with NBMBAA
in-person support. Have members communicate the vision and upcoming
event calendar to those attending the fair. We are guests and our role
in supporting the job fair is to encourage members to attend.

Communicate a clear message of the value add of the NBMBAA
to participants of Liberty Mutual career fair.

Communicate that event calendar for the year 2010 This event will be a primer for those seeking to
understand how to use Real Estate as a tool for growing your financial
portfolio and how to achieve financial independence. The principles and
techniques shared will help the attendee understand how to use debt
correctly and safely to grow wealth. After attending this event, the participant will
understand the basic financial metrics that real estate investors use to
determine a quality deal. The participant will also learn where to
obtain trusted information for making decisions, such as background
checks of tenants, what mortgage will maximize ROI, and understanding of
why certain locations should have certain financial objectives, and how
to use the 2009 & 2010 tax credits for your advantage.

Demonstrating resources to make life easier Give attendees the tools for controlling the
perception that those in the corporation have about you. Having a
robust brand will facilitate your ability to drive projects and business
imperatives with greater success. Concrete frameworks for how to approach solving
problems in corporate America to best obtain your career objectives with
a reduced amount of perceived organizational friction.

Organize attendees into working groups

Purchase writing materials for attendees to develop a
personal marketing campaign This event is intended to help foster community
among those in and around the Boston area that would like to re-engage
with NBMBAA’s Boston chapter. The entire leadership team of the NBMBA
Boston chapter will attend for attendees to meet and have a conversation
with. This is 3-hours on the water on a cruise ship. Every attendee of this event should understand the
following after the cruise returns to the dock:

The 2010 Mission for NBMBA’s Boston Chapter
·
Have an understanding of the upcoming events that they
would like to attend
·
Aware of the resources available to them via NBMBAA (e.g.
job seekers, continuing education, etc.)

Networking for first 30 minutes
·
Announcement of 1 to 2 Minutes by each Board member about
their 2010 priorities
·
Continuing the networking/social aspect Learn how to write an effective resume with a
summary statement that encapsulates your career intentions and showcases
your abilities to be a successful contributor to the team. To promote
the best outcome of each attendee there will be pre-work; this pre-work
will be used to facilitate your ability to capture the nuances of your
abilities to be illustrated on your new resume. Each attendee will leave the evening course with a
Summary statement for their resume along with the elements to complete
the remaining sections, such as experience and skills/talents. Expert
advice will be on hand for the 2.5 hour working session.

Hands on workshop to create summaries The annual national conference for NBMBA members Help Boston based entrepreneurs learn where they
can go for support in developing their business idea and help them
understand how venture capitalists determine a quality business to
invest in. Attendees will be able to meet people from local
Boston based venture capitalists as well as local entrepreneurs that
will talk about the businesses that they have started and the growing
pains that they have had realizing their business vision.

How to get connected with the right people and resources Learn about the successful year that NBMBA-Boston
has been having and what is ahead for 2011 and how you can contribute to
this success. TBD TBD Learn how to take your people skills and get the
most out of the people you work with. This workshop will introduce
management theories old and new to get you thinking about how to take
charge of teams to lead and manage them to successful organizational
outcomes. Practical frameworks for thinking and implementing
change within teams and organizations that you manage. TBD Recap the year of NBMBA-Boston activities and
clearly showcase the 2011 activities to get members excited about the
revitalization that has taken place in the year 2010. TBD
