Erinn co-chaired and created the HR & Diversity Summit in conjunction with Lodging Magazine event which drew top human resources professionals from all over the country. Her passion and knowledge for human resources practices and diversity allows her to serve on Massport Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Currently, Erinn created and administers the first Event Management program in conjunction with BU Study Abroad office at the BU Washington DC academic center beginning summer 2013 that will focus on government meetings and protocol. She is a member of New England chapters of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and International Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (ICHRIE). Her expertise in human resources and event management has taken her overseas to teach in Singapore at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Singapore campus expanding her global presence. In addition, Erinn serves on the Advisory Board for the National Black MBA Association Boston Chapter and on the Board of Directors for a nonprofit organization, Community Call whose mission is to provide educational experiences for at-risk or financially disadvantaged Greater Boston area high school students by providing hands-on, academic enrichment training as a way to give back to their community, develop community ties, and to plan for successful futures.
Erinn's work experience has crossed both corporate and educational institutions. Her corporate experience includes working in corporate sports marketing including: RDV Sports, the PGA TOUR and subsequently to General Motors R* Works in Atlanta, where she negotiated sponsorship agreements with multimillion dollar budgets. Her sales and marketing experience took her into the restaurant industry where she was the Special Events Manager for Dave & Busters (formerly Jillian's Entertainment) in Charlotte, North Carolina. While there, the sports industry called her back where she began consulting by hiring and training event service staff for two sports teams: the Charlotte Bobcats and Charlotte Knights, which shaped and developed her practical human resources skills in the private sector.
Erinn is a film buff and food enthusiast. Her studies and activities include traveling, cooking, homeopathic nutrition and golf. Her research is in emotional regulation and employee training, social media and employment and student engagement. Erinn has an earned PhD from Oklahoma State University in hospitality administration, a MBA from Winthrop University, a Master's in Sport Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. Her hometown is Chicago, Illinois and she resides in Quincy, Massachusetts.
