As Assistant Vice President, Andrew leads a team of lenders responsible for enhancing Mt. Washington Bank's community lending outreach and financial literacy efforts. Andrew directs the bank's CRA lending efforts by focusing primarily on increasing the number of mortgages that the bank originates in the neighborhoods of Greater Boston. Andrew also provides instruction with the first time home buyer workshops for various organizations.

Andrew's has an association with National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) who in partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) conducts Homebuyer education five-day comprehensive workshops aim at providing critical information and tools to help non-profit Senior Leaders; who in turn go on to develop educational programs for prospective homeowners. Andrew's role as a Contract trainer is to facilitate and lead the (5) day workshops with the goal of helping the participants meet the objectives of the training as set forth my NCRC.

Andrew's extensive knowledge and expertise has also been extended into the consulting world as a partner in the consulting company Sussex Associates. Sussex provides business services to small and medium size businesses as well as non-profit organizations. These services include accounting and financial management, operations management, strategic planning, marketing and business plans as well as rapid diagnostic services for businesses. A 2006 recipient of the Black Achievers Award, Andrew received his bachelor's degree in Management from The Barbados Institute of Management & Productivity and earned his MBA from the University of Surrey in Surrey, England; A professional designation with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) which covers business issues such as corporate Governance, law, and ethics and Masters in finance from New England College of Business and Finance (MSF). Andrew is also a member of the board of directors for Urban Edge and Abridge Development and an Adjunct professor at New England College of Business and Finance where he lectures in areas of his expertise.

Andrew Sobers have over 12 years of experience as a lender and continue to offer professional experience and expertise in the area of residential mortgage lending; Andrew also work as a business consultant, an adjunct professor and contract trainer for National Community Reinvestment Coalition. While these areas are different, they all focus on working with the common goal of either helping to enhance or improve the lot
