Andee Peters-Kurtz

Andee Peters-Kurtz is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who works at The Home for Little Wanderers (The Home) in Roslindale, MA. Andee came to The Home as an intern in 2008 in the Performance and Outcomes Department. She left The Home after her internship and worked as an Intensive Foster Care (IFC) Social Worker at Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR), under the leadership of

Mrs. Pamela Ogletree. At CSR, Andee developed the Master’s Level Social Work Intern Program in the IFC department in collaboration with Wheelock College. In 2010, Andee was recruited back to The Home by her colleague as a Clinical Case Manager for the IFC Department. She remained in this position until 2014, when she was promoted to Clinical Coordinator at The Home’s Therapeutic After School Program. She runs youth clinical groups, manages the department’s intern program, and is a member of various clinical committees in the agency.

Andee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts- Dartmouth in 2007. While at UMASS, she tutored elementary students in Spanish and volunteered at an English as a Second Language program for adults. Additionally, she was secretary and Vice President for the Black Student Union. From 2008 to 2010, Andee went to Boston College and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work Administration with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families. While at BC, Andee was a residential counselor at Taunton State Hospital for at-risk adolescent females with significant trauma history. This position motivated Andee to focus on non-profit program development and improvement, as the youth at the program lived full-time in a hospital and were physically restrained if deemed unsafe, which created more trauma. After working in human services for 8 years, Andee went back to school to get her MBA at Cambridge College and graduated in 2016.

Andee is a resident of Quincy, MA. On her spare time, Andee works for the United Way and as a psychiatric clinician at a hospital in eastern Massachusetts. She enjoys yoga, dogs, and vacations.
