Job Responsibilities

 

The primary objective of the Assistant Marketing Manager is to develop and execute secondary marketing initiatives (Targeted acquisition, targeted upgrade, Pay TV, Ethnic, PPV, and ancillary initiatives). The AMM also supports the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of primary campaign strategies (major acquisition, DTV Upgrade, High Speed Data Upgrade with budgets in excess of $1,000,000) to ensure that unit targets are met for the assigned products, while remaining within a budgeted cost per sale. This position will interface with regional and area senior and marketing management and will present the face of marketing initiatives to other key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Assume a leadership role for operational activities within the Business Services department by providing the technical, operational and management support for NNER’s business customers. Act as Liaison between the Business Services department and other Comcast departments and divisions. Build broad consensus for major operational initiatives across the multiple organizations and act as the focal point for related issues.

 

1. Responsible for ensuring field technical support of Comcast’s customer base served with the following business services: commercial internet, commercial video, and commercial voice services.

2. Manage the process of Field Technical Operations to exceed customer expectations and maintain carrier class standards of network availability, performance and reliability. Manage resolution of operational incidents and issues on a 24-hour basis.

3. Provides leadership to ensure Business Services provides cost effective, high quality network solutions design, customer service and support equivalent or superior to service levels across all Comcast divisions.

4. Works in cooperation with departmental and inter-departmental engineering resources to meet customer network implementation deadlines, and acts as liaison to other Comcast operations organizations.

5. Orchestrates implementation of operations standards to ensure a consistent quality of product.

6. Provides division reporting as required, and initiates analytical tools, processes and outputs to further the successful sales, deployment and support of Business Service’s commercial services. Manage the transition from deployment to operations, ensuring that proper documentation and processes are in place.

7. Supports management directives on all aspects of service deployment, sales and management, while providing key feedback on competitive environments relevant to product marketing and sales. Provides technical sales support, when needed, for customer opportunities, and develop client-vendor SOPs in support of the sales process.

8. Manages, interviews, selects, trains, promotes, schedules, motivates, evaluates and disciplines employees within the Business Services operational support group. Monitors performance, defines goals and recognizes achievements of regional operations staff.

9. Assists in defining training requirements and developing/customizing training curriculum as needed for Business Services operational support group. Ensures the staff has adequate network diagnostic tools, management systems and training to optimize system performance and monitoring.

 

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; at least 5 years of experience in a high tech environment with three years in a management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in supporting operations within a commercial services (business to business) customer environment. Advanced knowledge in multiple disciplines (ISPs, cable, telephony, wireless…).
